101 reasons why you should use ipaper

Okay, that would make a very good post.  I'll think about it.   Renee got me to thinking about that, since she seems like a recent convert, and an enthusiastic one at that.  Here are her top three reasons today...

1.  Ease of printing
2.  Convenience
3.  One piece of cardstock to print a different ipaper on either side

With Renee's busy schedule she just would not have time to go to the store but she needed to make something FAST!  The bosses @ AmberInk are a demanding lot - wouldn't want to miss a deadline or we'll call out the Baker's Twine brigade!  So what does our brilliant Renee do?
Bang...purchase, print and...voilĂ .  CAS at your fingertips...

Which reminds me of Siobhan's reasons for loving our ipaper...
4.  You can be a paper hoarder w/o it taking up space on your shelves!
5.  You can be a paper hoarder w/o telling your husband!

Hey ladies…your husband called -
he said you can buy all the ipaper you want.

Hoppy Memorial Day.

Hope you get to share time with those you love today.
And we hide our faces in shame for missing "Aloha Friday".

Hope nobody's miffed.

The cool thing about
is that they keep multiplying.

And there is always something appropriate
to say with them.

Like...

How many carrots?

or
What's up carrot bunch?

So go on...
Give a bunny a chance...

Take the hop...

Analogous Greetings

Ha!  Gotcha with that post title right?
I knew it.
What will really getcha are these next two cards.
Both say "hello".
Both are beauties.
Both use AmberInk products.
Each are completely different.

So say hello to our new torchbearing friends.
We really think they are hot stuff.
Don't you?

WOYWW all over the place.

Today is Wednesday.  That means it is our favorite day.  Not only is it hump day, but it is also WOYWW which has been created and developed by one of our very fave ppl of all time...Miss Julia Dunnit (aka Nov 2010 AmberInk Pink torchbearer which we still can't believe she said yes!)!  We kinda cheated because Julia put today's linky in the hands of Mr.Blogger, which is always a risk.  He decided to come early. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose right?  I think I got one of my children that way.

So any how back to the story... last week, we posted a dreamy pic of what we thought Amber's desk was looking like last week for WOYWW:
and then this week, we found out that it really looked like this.
We think it is much better, don't you?
Personally, I am also rather curious about what is BEYOND the workdesk.
I usually strain and squint and try to look out the window.
I'm sure that this isn't what Julia had in mind originally, but I'm a curious cat.
Here is what is outside the window this week @ AmberInk.
(we told you this would be all over the place)
Somewhere in this photo lurks a workdesk you know along w/a lot of rain
:

And to the south by one block
today you would see this:

oh, and this:

And now I'm going to stop before I get towed.
Happy WOYWW everyone.
Please stop by Julia's for way more interesting posts!

Didn't we tell you these babes were F.U.N.?
Their bio's couldn't even touch the surface.

And of course every party needs a princess:

And of course every princess needs a little romance:

Oh Baby!

That bitter sweet day has arrived! By now all you lovelies know that at Amber Ink. we pass our torches like they're HOT. Check our our new babes!

Running with our brown torch as passed by our girl Katie!
Laura Kayra will be running her brown torch Amazing Race style, through long and windy roads! She is the one who spins a globe and travels to wherever her finger lands! We know she'll be an amazing AmberInk torchbearer, since she has already completed the "run for the kids" in Australia!

This Finnish girl currently lives in Melbourne with her future DH and current partner Paul and their gorgeous cat Sokeri. She speaks several languages and her blog is written in three of them - Finnish, Australian and the language of love. If she isn't driving somewhere on a day trip, walking through Melbourne or taking a boat around Vanuatu, you may just find her running through her house, with her arms held back, pretending to fly like superman! Laura already is a super hero in our book! It is the only explanation for her amazing scrapping and stamping which you can find @ http://paperiini.blogspot.com/
.................................................................

Running with our pink torch as passed by our girl Anne!
We are thrilled to have Nancy Cappelen join the AmberInk team! Nancy is the first pink torchbearer to join us from outside the UK, from even further north - the land of the midnight sun.Nancy's hometown of Stavanger houses Norway's oldest cathedral and the amazing pulpit rock, which makes us believe that her glorious work is somehow inspired by the beauty of her surroundings. Or perhaps it is influenced by her family, husband Paal and children Benedicte(14), Casper(11) and Pernille(5.). It doesn't hurt that Norway was recently named the best place in the world to be a mother.
Oh stop...we can't let you think that Nancy is perfect...in fact she does have two vices... papercrafting and chocolate. Need we say more? All we can find are positives.
See for yourselves @ http://nancyskortblogg.blogspot.com/
.................................................................

Running with our orange torch as passed by our fabulous Michele!
Link
Toni Johnson lives the best of both worlds in Wichita Kansas. Our new orange torchbearer is a professional banker by day, but when the "closed" sign goes up at the bank, Toni's "open" sign comes on at home. As a wife to Mike and a mom to four (two away, two @ home) this happy, karaoke singing grammy spends her off hours turning on the crafty charm.
She might volunteer a little too often, but that is what her favorite drink, coffee is for right?
We know that this girl will go to great lengths to get crafting supplies, so we are glad to have her on board with AmberInk digitals! We can already hear the soundtrack of Chariot's of Fire revving up. Listen closely and you can hear it too @ http://impressionsbytoni.blogspot.com/

Running with our blue torch as passed by our ever lovely Cathy!

Our blue torchbearer, Renee Lynch has been blogging since 2011. But wait. This is 2011. AmberInk is thrilled to get in on the early stages of this class act!

Renee is in the midst of raising four kids in Tennessee with her DH. She chose to be a SITCM (stay in the car mom) over being a professional writer and earning top dollar -okay, we put this part in, but spend a little time reading her blog and you'll know that we have already looked into the crystal ball. We love that she has a section for recipes, but only offers one. Is this because she is a self proclaimed caffeine addicted chocoholic with exercise allergies and the eating habits of a three year old? Perhaps it is because she uses the dining room to craft in. Or maybe because she has phobias of any foods touching the other and has never eaten or made a casserole and never will?

Whatever the reason we find Renee charming and witty and fun.

We know you will too @

Siobhan (pronounced like 'chevonne'...if you watch American Idol you would know!) joins us from the 49th state. She has 6 children...well, not really, but if you count the DH, the Samoyed and the Golden Retriever you'll balance out. You do the math. Siobhan has spent the past four years in Japan as a nurse, CEO, CFO, taxi driver and stand up comic.

She currently is editor in chief and creative director
@ a new challenge blog Use it Tuesday and if you hurry real fast, you can apply to be on the DT! We are fortunate indeed to have this Coke Zero drinking, heat gun burning, copic coloring and very pretty purple running torchbearer join us @ AmberInk. A recent personality test identified her as "gold". We couldn't agree more.

It's ALOHA FRIDAY...

and since design week is officially ended in NYC,
that means that the Chelsea Flower show is officially starting in the U.K!
And wouldn't you know, they are SOLD OUT!  rude.

We will just have to beat them to their Opuntia phaeacanthas
and have our own AmberInk version.

This is going to be hard.
You're going to really have to focus.

1.  If you are going to stop and smell the flowers,
 which flower would it be?
2.  Tell us your favorite flower blog or .com
3.  Where in the world are your very favorite gardens?

Whole lotta running going on!

We are always amazed at the creativity that exudes from these high jumping, quick stepping, fast running  babes and all while they are carrying a torch!  Another month of watching world champion relay runners is coming to a close.  Just look how far they've traveled!

Look closely!  There are so MANY amazing projects in there.

The new babes are carrying flags from around the world
and they are getting on their marks.
Be sure to come back on Monday to cheer on the team.

Dreams of WOYWW

Today I am a bit of the
reluctant apprentice.
I was promised workdesk photos - I really was.
Things got too busy no doubt.
I've decided to take the deja vu approach.
This was Amber's workdesk at SURTEX
in a previous life.

(the blur is intentional, to make it more dreamlike ;)

This year's booth was much better.
There were fabric banners and bigger books...

(or so I've been told)
There were appointments and meetings.
There will be contracts written and cheques signed
in reality or in dreams.
And either way,
 there is in the shadows
a mother who is so very proud.
Check out more mystery and magic
from all the wonderful links

What's the buzz?

Ain't no buzz really...just bumblin' along.
CATHY!
(check out her next one too!)
Find these products in the AmberInk shop HERE and HERE.

Today is Amber's final day @ the big show so hopefully I can get back to buzzing.

Did you spend your weekend with a fun guy?

When Amber created this stamp, I said "oh, that's nice dear"
but in my head I was like "say what?".
It wasn't until Jen Lee made her first card as a torchbearer that I finally got it.

When my hubby and I first started dating,
one of the first jokes he told me was:
A mushroom walks into a bar.
The Bartender said, "We don't serve your kind here.
"The Mushroom said, "Why not I'm a fungi!
"Yes, this kind of cheese won me over. :-)

Now when anybody uses this stamp I crack up.
I also realize they are much smarter than I.

That is why I chuckled this morning when I saw this:

I hope Kaity-bugs boyfriend puts it in his box of treasures.
If he doesn't, I know his mother will ;)

It's ALOHA FRIDAY the 13th

What are you all...crazy?  Stay home.  Lock the doors.  It's Friday the 13th.
Do you think it is all hooey?
Then why wasn't blogger working?  Hmmm?
Do you suffer from Friggatriskaidekaphobia too?

It might be time to just lay it out there!
#1.  What is your biggest phobia?
#2.  One thing you would absolutely NOT do on a Friday the 13th?
#3.  What is your scariest movie or book you hate/love?

Let them eat CAKE!

Strawberry birthday Cake that is!
And of course Paula Deen  CATHY didn't do enough
by just whipping up a delicious birthday cake,
she also created a treasured box with recipes
for oldest son Matt.

Isn't that just the best gift EVER from a mom?

We couldn't be more honored that she did a little AmberInking in the process!

and

This has motivated me to use up that leftover angel food cake
and strawberries from Mother's Day.
Let me eat CAKE!

English Trifle it is!
And if you don't eat sweets, sorry, we can't help you.
